The New Altimax G2 SD is suitable for both small and high-power projects.
The three (3) Pyro outputs and two (2) servo ports can be assigned to any flight event. Thus, a two-stage recovery is possible, but also much more complicated recovery methods as well as two-stage flights can be easily realized. Three (3) internal timers for timing tasks are also available, this can be set as desired and connection.
With 2Mb of internal flash memory stores the Altimeter six (6) flights about 5min in length. After landing the last-measured flight data is stored on an SD Card with 1 GB, this card sits in a socket on the altimeter and can be plugged with the supplied adapter in any SD card slot. The free PC software reads the data directly from the AltiMax G2 SD and displays the flight data in a all graphical format
If desired, the flight data can be read via the serial port, but there’s also an optional USB connector for connection to the USB port.
The Altimax G2 SD has a very accurate pressure sensor on board and measures the amount with a resolution of about 15 cm! An acceleration sensor with a resolution of 0.04 G and a maximum range of +-70G provides even more security for fast flights and better documentation of the flight dynamics.
A possibly existing firmware update is easily feasible by the user using the PC software, updates are automatically retrieved from the Internet. This ensures that the altimeter is always up-to-date!
The Altimax G2 SD is delivered with the settings set for a two-step recovery and can be used immediately.
The Altimax has a solid 10-pin connector for connection to the rocket. Included is a female connector with ten (10) about 25cm long cables, for easily connection to switches and igniters. The plug-connector principle makes an easier exchange of the Altimeter between your rockets and provides a very reliable contact, far safer than screw terminals. Additional cables are cheaply available.
